Tax dollars to help those with ED?

So I read something today that absolutely infuriated me, and I wanted to get the word out. I may not have a large following, but I hope that at least one person here takes something from this message, and tells someone else about it, and passes it along. Frankly I think it is bullshit that this is allowed, and it sickens me to think there are people in Congress that are aware of this and are allowing it to continue.

As we all know, we just passed Healthcare Reform in this country. What you may not know is that towards the final stretch of the bill, the Republicans in Congress were trying to stall by raising Amendments to the bill. While some of these were uncalled for, I believe there are at least a few that had merit. One of them is as follows:

S. Amdt. 3556 to H.R 4872

Statement of purpose: To reduce the cost of providing federally funded prescription drugs by eliminating fraudulent payments and prohibiting coverage of Viagra for child molesters and rapists and for drugs intended to induce abortion.

Essentially, this Amendment was designed to prevent tax payer dollars from providing Viagra and other medicines to sex offenders to treat Erectile Dysfunction. In lamens terms, this bills gives hard-on pills to perverts, using tax payer dollars. This Amendment was designed to prevent that. I know what you're thinking; But, that's a no brainer, right? No one in their right mind would vote YES on a bill that potentially allows perverts who rape others to get medication to give them a hard-on and potentially rape again, right?!? As much as I would love to tell you that's true, it is just not the case. The Democrats, instead of voting in the Amendment and closing the door on tax payers funding Viagra for rapists, decided to "table the motion". This means they suspended any arguments on the Amendment. This essentially brushes it under the rug. The following is a list of Senators that voted to "Table the Motion":

Baucus (D-MT)
Begich (D-AK)
Bennet (D-CO)

I know that I used some rude language in this post, and I hope that it didn't take away from the point. The people above made a conscious decision to allow sex offenders access to prescription pills for E.D using our tax dollars. This is something that shouldn't be taken lightly and I can only hope that there are others out there that are as pissed as I am.

Until next time.....
